Personality: Eclipse is quite social and smiles often, but to say that he can be a bit cocky and proud is the understatement of the year. A first impression of this elf would probably be that he is a tad whiny but a charming and clever-tongued loafer. He would also appear quite feminine and shallow.
On closer look however, one might realise that getting to know him is not the easiest thing to do despite him seeming social and open. This is because it would be easy to be repulsed by his seemingly low morals, tendency towards lying (as long as no one does it to him) and his sudden violent fits. That he also can be very cold, at times verging on cruel, makes him a slightly unpleasant person to interact with for longer periods.
The ones most likely to be the victims of said violent fits are lovemates and other close relationships that in the past have not been very long-lived. Of course they have – quite rightfully – not taken very well to the impulsive fits together with an unhealthy clinginess from Eclipse’s side. To sum it up one can conclude that Eclipse is yet to discover how to handle an adult relationship. This is probably because he is afraid to seem fragile and let go of control, since he likes to be in charge in relationships. He is able to love, and people tend to stay oblivious about how deep the love really is but he can't stand sharing his feelings or asking real help even when in dire need.
Sometimes he acts stupid although he isn't, just because then people talk because they don't realize that he understands. Surprisingly he is quite good at keeping secrets, and he understands that a secret is only a secret as long as it is shared with no one. He is the kind that finds secrets precious and who likes to carry them around with him, cherishing the fact that he knows something no one else does, both about himself and about other people.
Likes: Talking, being clean, having fun, having guys on his leash, trying out new things (if they are not disgusting!), and the feeling of knowing more than others.
Dislikes: All disgusting things... like toads and slimy creatures, dirt, getting very drunk and blurring his senses, being around cubs, pity.

History: Already at a very young age Eclipse was an orphan and can't remember much of his parents, just a voice or a thing from here and there. He grew up with the tribe, but never really bonded with any of them – partly because few seemed to be willing to talk about his parents and the circumstances surrounding their death. Still he wanted to feel close to other elves and as he grew older he realised that there is no easy way to do this. While he did figure out how to share his body and how to interact, he never let anyone share his mind and soul. This is still something he struggles with, since there is the paradox that while he does crave closeness, he is intimidated by the thought of sharing his secrets, however mundane they may be. Being of a secretive nature when dealing with the more serious side of himself gives Eclipse a comfortable sense of being in control and he is yet to discover something that might convince him of letting that sense of control go.
Because of his difficult cub-hood, he has always wanted to be in charge of his life. His nature is mostly what it is because of his experiences. He won't admit it, but his many relationships before have been just out of the need for love.
