Keenstar is killed in an avalanche together with several other elves. His son Firetune takes his place as chief. The tribe begins looking for a new place to live.
Bird-bloods, Boldpath, Nightspear

Founding of the Tall Tree Holt.

Dark skinned elves who bond with birds of prey arrive at the Tall Tree Holt. Some of the tribe members are suspicious towards the newcomers, but most welcome them with open arms.

Many Recognitions have occured between the two tribes. The chief's daughter, Whirl, is bitten by her bond-friend who has the foaming-sickness. The healer saves her life, but can't completely mend her mind.

Whirl - still mad from the disease - challenges her father for the Chief's Lock. She wins and changes her name to Boldpath. The bird-blooded tribe, her father and several of the wolf-bloods are either banished or leave on their own. Firetune later dies because of his injurices as the tribe's two healers have been forced to stay in the Tall Tree Holt.

The wolf-bloods and a few of the bird-bloods who no longer are a part of the Tall Tree Holt, gather together. They choose Boldpath's cousin Nightspear as their leader.

Nightspear returns to the Tall Tree Holt and challenges Boldpath for the Chief's Lock. Nightspear wins. Boldpath is banished and the tribe is reunited.
Chief Soulcaller, Chief Greydusk

Nightspear dies in a rockslide together with a few of her tribemates during a quest to find the rest of the bird-bloods. Her daughter Soulcaller is made chief.

Soulcaller gets lost in the fog near the Vastdeep, falls off a cliff and is badly injured. The healer isn't able to save her. Her son Greydusk is made chief after her.
