Beliefs
Trolls aren't a very spiritual kind of race. They prefer the things they can see and touch before tales of the afterlife. Simply put they believe in hard work and gathering valuable things.
Children
Depending on who the parents are the troll children are either pampered or treated as small adults. They might get a light slap when they've done something wrong to knock some sense into them, but few trolls would ever seriously harm or kill a child, or brat as trolls are found of calling their offspring.
Clothing
Trolls mostly use leather to make clothes, but some woven cloth has appeared. Workers tend to wear simpeler garbs that don't rip too easily, while some female trolls enjoy wearing fine dresses. The troll kings tend to wear the best clothes and some sort of a crown to show that he's the leader.
Death
Death is not as serious a thing for most trolls as it is for elves. Mates will mourn each other and parents will mourn their children if they die, but the tribe as a whole won't hold any kind of ceremony. The dead are left were they've died unless they've passed away in the trolls' own home.
Evolution
When the High Ones crashed on this world the trolls were much smaller and weaker. They've now grown to be taller than the shorter kind of elves and are in general much stronger than most of the elfin kin.

Food
Trolls live on cooked meat and roots. They might eat some fish and berries once in a while too.
Magic
Trolls have no magic of their own and have little knowledge of elfin magic. Unless they're really close to a elf tribe they don't even know elves can send, much less that some can lift their own weight with the power of their mind.
Mating
So far only matings of the opposite sex are known among the trolls. Perhaps they have same-sex relationships as well, but there has been no sign of that. In most cases it's the male troll that courts the female. According to traditions it's common for the males to show that they're worthy of their females by showing how much valubale things and high status in the tribe they have. This does not mean there are no real love between trolls who mate. Often this "bragging" and trading for the female's heart is made just for the sake of traditions after the trolls have become unofficial mates.
The troll leader in some tribe can have more than one mate and it's not unheard of a troll king changing mate(s) ever so often.
Random facts
Sunlight doesn't kill or really harm trolls, but they still don't like it. The bright light tend to hurt their eyes, that are more used to the dark of underground caves and their skin burns easily.
Reproduction
A male and a female troll have a chance to become a parent every time they sleep with someone of the opposite sex, much like humans. Trolls are fertile from the age of 16 to 8 000. Pregnancy lasts for seven months.
Society
Trolls tend to be patriarchal and led by a king who has the final say in everything. Some troll tribe might have female leaders, but they are uncommon. Trolls tend to value rank and status. The more gold, gems and rare things a troll has and the closer he is to being king, the better he is in the eyes of his fellows.
Troll tribes tend to be none to peaceful. Disputes are often solved through violence, and it's not unusual to find slaves and torture as part of the everyday life. This doesn't make trolls cruel though. They're just very matter of fact about life and wish to reach their individual goals. Empathy isn't really a troll skill.
Weapons, Tools and Jewlery
Trolls tend to have at least one excellent blacksmith among their numbers. They're very inventive and have (and will) come up with many technical things few elves would ever dream of making. They aren't very good hunters or tanners though, which makes trading with elves a good thing for a troll that wishes to impress his fellows with exotic things.
Trolls use axes, crossbows, clubs, daggers, spears and swords, made of wood and brightmetal (steel).
Troll made tools tend to be made of metal or stone.
Jewlery is always populare among trolls, especially the more spoiled females wear a lot of it. Workers might now have trinkets on their person at all times, but they often own at least a small gold brooch or something akin to that. Trolls love metals and gems they think of as precious. A gold bracelet is in their eyes easily worth more than one made of leather and colorful feathers. Pearls on the other hand are a rare treat as few trolls can swim, much less hold their breath and dive down to the ocean floor.
