**This is your First Chief speaking, hear me!** Palepelt sending was an open one, touching all minds within the camp's boatders, but she was clearly addressing only her fellow Children of the Oaks.
**Our tribemates are sick, terribly sick through the High One's magic.** Her grief, rage and fear were palpable behind her words. **Many of us have been forced to do the unthinkable today - fight and even kill our own kin! To stop this bloodshed I order you all to flee this place, to the safery of the Oaks. I and a few of our warriors will remain here, to tend to the sick once they gain there senses back.**
The pause in her sending held a lot of meaning, telegraphing that there were more orders to come; unpleasant ones. **The wolf-bloods are the root of our tribemates' sickness,** Palepelt sent, with much conviction. **I know this is a great burden I am looking to give to you, but I must ask that volunteers - and only volunteers - acompany the wolf-bloods from this place. I need you to keep them away from lands were we wander, to make sure none of our sick lay eyes upon them and force them to become violent and unreasonable again.**
Her words held grief and finality. **I will find you and bring you back to us, this I swear to you. Know that you will be making a great sacrifice to protect our children and their children. Songs will be sung about you for uncountable years to come.**
Palepelt's next sending was stony and full of forced calm. **Any volunteer, reply to me in lock-sending so I know of your sacrifice. All others, run towards the Oaks!**

While Silvereyes waited from her time mates to tend to the deeply wounded, she listened with great caution to the Sending from Pale Pelt while also keeping look out both on the slit in the back of the tent along with her people escaping or getting ready to escape that direction and the entrance opening at the front of the tent of wounded. It made her shiver with an uneasy feeling that the ones afflicted with that madness would stay afflicted with it. she really had doubt that if she ever met that False High One again, she would kill him if given the chance. She scoffed at the sending from Palepelt and ignored her as her tribe and her Sire's orders were all that mattered now.
((Ooc: No worries, I know I posted Silvereyes left after the wounded, but since we are still here, no problem, she can still help n stuff till the migration away. This is a "Now post" and the other is a "Future post" Lets say to keep things from me clear, heh. ^__~ wink I read the plot planning thread so, I understand. If needed, Silvereyes could sew someone up if needed at some point? She has spare leathers and hides too and some water skins for future reference. ^___^))

(OOC: I hope it's okay with everyone that we have a "Future Post" and three "Now Posts" - the Fleeing-thread I put up so we all could know where the plot was going and strive to get to the same place, so to speak)
IC: Branchwalker gasped as Palepelt's sending brushed against his mind, ice water on an already chilled head. This was madness. Pure, utter madness. Well, they couldn't stay here any longer, that was for sure, and the only way that was sure to be free of Children of the Oaks was...back towards the trolls. It was all too horrific. Best not to think about anything until they were some place safer. ~**Should we run now? Before the mad ones come here too?**~ he lock-sent to his fellow survivors, excludig the Children of the Oaks present.

The sending from Palepelt left Wishpond still with a hollow feeling of numbness. He'd already known they must flee, that was obvious, but the finality in the First Chief's words fell like a heavy cloak upon him, his arms hanging uselessly at his sides. He recalled with bitter clarity speaking out against the banishment-supporters at the council. Would they remember that in their current state? Was he in danger? Did he even have the choice to stay, or was he the same as a Wolfrider in their eyes now, someone to cut down and expunge from this world simply for disagreeing with their verdict? The musician stared down at the ground, his amber eyes blank and unseeing. He wouldn't get to learn who still lived and who had died. He wouldn't be able to mourn for lost friends, for how can you mourn someone without knowing their fate? He'd be left to wander in the shadows of ambiguity until, some day when his people's minds were mended and home was once again safe, he could return.
But when would that day come?
Would it ever?
Closing his eyes, Wishpond exhaled deeply, dragging his hand down his face. The sounds of chaos around his seemed muted, his world slowing as if underwater. Palepelt had said that the wolfbloods were the root of this, but also that it was the High One's magic that had caused the madness. Were both true? The more he thought about it, the more his instincts told him that the High One was the trigger, not the Wolfriders. True, there had been division among the Children of the Oaks over their presence, but that wasn't comparable to the disturbing, puppet-like mindlessness of their violence now. The betrayal had come from another pureblood, not a wolfblood. They were just an easier target... and much more vulnerable.
With a sigh of resignation, Wishpond sent his short response to Palepelt alone. ~**I'll go.**~

Ooc: I am good with it as I have already posted Silvereyes in the future thread with the time jump. As I understand it though, some wished to finish up in the now posts of this tent for the wounded thread first before they make the jump. I think a thread between the now of Tent for the wounded and the time jump thread is a good idea too though. A thread where every Player/elf can say where they are before ~ or ~ on the way to the meeting point in the time jump thread. It works for me. I am just moving my elfess to fallow her place in time and in the story and if she is needed at any point, ppl know where she is in vicinity to their elves/elf. If I am misunderstanding, please correct me, no worries. Thanks.

**I volunteer, my chief!**, Wasp sent to Palepelt. **I will go too**, Tracker added, **To end the bloodshed** He didn't want to chase the wolfblooded elves away, but it seemed for the best, for both tribes.
"I will go with you", Hale said, with a sigh, "Not to drive you away, I don't think any of this is your fault... But, just to help you out. So many of you are wounded..." "Yes and who caused those fresh wounds you see before you?", snapped Gale angrily, "I hoped my family would be safe now, but even other elves can't be trusted, it seems. No matter what you say or what you send, I won't trust you." As he had been doing the whole time, he tried to stay between the Children of the Oaks and his family members.
Patiently Eveninglight let Sunsleaf tend to her wound. "I think...", she spoke softly, "Not all of the Children of the Oak mean to harm us, Gale. I've seen some fight alongside our kin. They can't be all bad." "Both Morning-Glo and Evening-Fall were fighting, last time I saw them", Hale said, "I'm no good as a fighter. That's why I came here to see if I can help in any way..." Gale snorted. "Your words are as worthless as trolldung."

Sunsleaf glared at Gale, "HUSH!" her gaze shifted to Hale and she sighed, "I am sorry. Much has happened and some has been worse because it comes from other elves. And while distrust may seem natural... it does not mean that no one can be truthful."
Squirrel was frowning but moving the children toward the rear of the tent and the wolves. With wolves more could be taken and she was grabbing up a few extra rolls of sleep furs. One could never be too certain.
Sureshot was standing guard outside the rear of the tent with the wolves waiting for the others to join him. Hoping as the wolves arrived they would gather there so that their flight from this place could begin.
OOC: Posting an update in the Away thread with my current 'moving' situation.

Gale glared back at Sunsleaf, but said nothing.
"No need to apologize", Hale answered, "It is I who should do so, on behalf of my people. You have been through so much already and yet we have not treated you kindly since we found out about... our differences. My friend Evening-Fall was right from the start about all this. There should not be fear or hatred between elves, eventhough your blood differs from ours."
"That's what I thought", Gale said, "Until that strange High One took some of our friends and the fighting started..."

Wishpond and Hale received a pulse of acknowledgement and gratitude from Palepelt before she cut sending contact. It was clear she'd run into some trouble that requiered her full concentration. "Gale, please," Haze spoke, one hand raised to usher calm. He then lock-sent to Gale: ~**I feel the same worry as you, dear friend, but we have no time or energy to fight two packs at once right now. Let's concentrate our efforts on the danger the mindless ones pose for now. We'll deal with these 'helpers' later, when we're all together again.**~ Treebreeze nodded along with his uncle. He gave Wishpond and Hale curt bows, then glanced at the still unconscious Featherfoot. "I say we run, all of us together. You've sent your intent to not harm us and there can be no lies in sending." Then again, High Ones were supposed to be good and kind. Treebreeze would keep an eye on these Children of the Oaks for any sign of betrayal. He'd fight to the death to protect his tribe, especially the cubs! The cubs in question, Lizardstalker, Quicksand and Redstreak, had finished packing and huddled yet closer to their family; Redstreak behind Squirrel, Quicksand along Gale and Lizardstalker behind Childwolf. "Need to leave," was all Childwolf said, his pupils shrunken into panicked pinpricks. His strong wolf-blood had a tendency to take over when strong emotions coursed through him - he could only feel the urge to run in face of superior strength and numbers, flee to protect his brother and pack. Branchwalker stuffed one last thing in a should sling and whirled to face the tent's exit. The sound of fighting was growing closer, though there was a distinct change in volume compared to earlier - many must have fallen or the group had split and run in different directions. "I must say I agree with those who've spoken last," he said, eyes shining with fear and grief. "We must run, now! The mindless ones are getting closer - we can't risk the cubs just to stay here and quarrel a risk for betrayal! Please, we must go now!" To Gale he lock-sent: ~**I am with you in not trusting these elves, but we must flee! Please, Gale, see reason!**~ Outside the tent new howls could be heard. Several of the wolf pack had broken free from the fighting as the last survivors had done so and instictively gone back to their 'den' now that the cubs were out of danger. They were ready for riders, for flight. ( OOC: Seeing as Hale and Wishpond have volunteered to follow Palepelt's order and Featherfoot is unconscious, I think we can start wrapping up this thread - or what do you think? They're in a life-or-death situation which won't end until the "Fleeing"-thread, so they'll have plenty of time to continue questioning each others trustworthieness then and the CotOs will have plenty of time to question/think over their own decisions to volunteer )

Wishpond moved to Hale's side, sharing a sending of encouragement as he placed his hand on her shoulder to show her she wasn't alone in this. **We have no intention of hurting you,** he sent to all elves gathered in the tent. **We've only volunteered to keep you away from our Holt's borders, so our sick branchmates don't turn to senseless violence again. Until we know what ails them, it's safest for everyone that way. Please, we can work through our issues later, but right now we have to escape!** Hearing the wolves' howls growing nearer, the harpist quickly grabbed a light skin for a makeshift shoulder sling and snapped up some essential items; two waterskins, a poultice of healing herbs, a wound salve, some bandages. Scanning the room, he noticed some of the food offerings they had brought the previous day, and deftly culled an assortment of nuts and fruits that were lightweight but highly nutritious. Fitting them into the shoulder sling and tying it around himself, he hurried over to where Featherfoot still lay unconscious. **Can she ride with you on your wolves?** he open-sent to the Wolfriders gathered, searching each of their faces in turn in barely-contained desperation.
OOC: Yep, I'm about ready to wrap up this thread. :>

Having no wolf to offer, Branchwalker could only look to his kin as Wishpond asked for aid for the unconscious Featherfoot. ~**Any wolf free to carry her?**~ he lock-sent to all wolf-bloods present. OOC: Not sure if the elves from the Watch for Wolves thread are heading here now. We'll see if they do, so they might join up in the thread or we might timejump before, whichever works best. Tag gerlin and Aphrael in the meantime

Squirrel hustled her cubs out of the tent to Sureshot and the wolves leaving others to discuss what would happen to the purebloods.
Sunsleaf looked at Branchwalker and then to Hale and Featherfoot, she looked toward the back of the tent where the wolves waited and then back to Featherfoot ~** Sureshot will take you, or her.. the other rides with me. *~~

Gale held up his hand, showing he would set his worried feelings aside for now. ~**You are right**~, he agreed withHaze and Branchwalker, al be it reluctantly. ~**Fleeing, making sure the cubs are safe comes first**~ The frown never left his face, but he followed in Squirrel's steps, guarding the cubs as best as he could while carrying the supplies. His body still hurt from his wounds, but he would manage. He had to. His family needed him to be strong, his tribe needed him to be strong.
Hale followed Wishponds actions and managed to grab some food and a waterskin that was half full and deftly rolled them in a piece of cloth. On her way out she also took a blanket with her. Then, outside again, Hale looked unsure at Wishpond. What were they to do now? Ride on a wolf? The thought scared her.
With her wound tended, Eveninglight gathered what supplies she could and then moved outside, where Shade was waiting for her.
Rainblossom hurried towards Firecry and Cloudshadow. **Let us make haste** she was panting heavily still recovering from her flight, as her wolf followed her brother and his beloved towards the tent.
Still fighting off attacks from their crazed tribesmates, Tracker and Wasp followed Eveninsky closely, making sure she could get away safely with the cubs until they reached the tent the wounded had stayed in.

Silvereyes was at the last to leave the tent for the wounded and on her way out she started after the ones fleeing before her. She had said she would guard the rear. As she left she slowed a bit to look back, noticing with Wolf sense that there was movement.
She turned to get a better look. She ran back to offer some help if they needed it. ~**I have water skins, some dried meat and furs. Lean on me if anyone needs but we must run.**~ Silvereyes lock sent, she was shivering from all the fear running through her along with Adrenalin.

Eveningsky rushed inside the tent with the bag of pups still tight in her arms. She breathed hard. **I've got the cubs.** She sent, not having breath to speak.
