Cloudbird bit her lip, not feeling a fever on the obviously delirious elf's face. Her response to Morning-Glow was curt, tone brooking no argument. ~**'Your part?' I'm not concerned with you making adults stop acting like cubs. What's important now is that my people are going to die if we don't DO something!**~
When she looked back up to him, her eyes were full of worry - and fear. ~**And there is something very, very wrong here. Watch Claw - I fear for her mind. She seems...wrong. And you're supposed to be a healer, of sorts, right? That's 'your part'. I must go to my pack.**~
Standing, she released Claw's hand and turned, her voice a low, commanding growl. "Silvereyes, you can come with me, or you can help the wounded. You can resume arguing with our fellow elves later if it really seems that important, but for now, our pack needs us." She watched Branchwalker's retreating form with narrowed eyes before moving off, taking the path Dawngazer had used. Rockclimber began following her and then stopped, whining softly after her as she sent a sharp, ::No. Watch.::

OOC: Morning-Glow didn't send anything about the pride... Those were his personal thoughts/opinions.

OOC: Whoops! I meant for her to lash out at Silvereyes and at him about two different things. xD Edited. That should be something she could infer based only on observation.

Silvereyes looked at the ones speaking. She let out a long breathed sigh before looking back to Branhwalker who was running off to the gathered Wolfriders. she whipped her back to look at Wasp, then started off running after Branchwalker as fast as she could to catch up to him and as he had shared in a sending, to out run Wasp. ((Gerlin, I'll wait for you to reply before I move Silvereyes to the Wolves thread.))

*They want me to chase them?*, Wasp wondered, *Very well, I wanted to go there anyway* She shrugged and followed Branchwalker and Silvereyes, but at a more easy pace. She figured they would not run that far, so she'd better save her energy for the fight. If she was lucky, they would both try and fight them. *The more, the merrier* She could run fast if she wanted to, but didn't have the stamina to keep that up for a long time.

*Healer? Where did she get that notion?* Morning-Glow looked at the backs of the elves, running towards where his brother had hasted off earlier. He knew what was going on there now, from what Evening-Fall had shared with him in mind just a moment ago. There was enough folk now to handle the situation, surely. So he moved his gaze to Claw. Cloudbird was right, there was something amiss with the maiden. Morning-Glow approached her and stopped couple a steps away. "You okay?"

Claw only smiled in reply to Morning-Glow's question, her eyes becoming even more glazed. It looked almost like she'd fallen asleep with her eyes open. OOC: Hot tip - try sending to her

Morning-Glow was slightly distracted when Waterfall's mind reached out to his. ~**I'm here. With Claw.**~ He sent a picture of the spot and a picture of Claw. ~**Something seems to be amiss with her mind.**~ Waterfall wasn't pleased on what she saw in Claw through the images. Morning-Glow felt that in their mind connection. ~**Try to reach her mind. I'll come when I have treated Arrow.**~ The healer replied. The male shrugged to himself and sat down. ~**Claw.**~ He sought her mind with his.

((Ooc: Moving my Elfie to the Watching for Wolves thread now....))
Ic: The silver eyed blond moved fast to avoid early conflict from Wasp or the drunken one toying with a dagger. she looked back a few times just to make sure of the distance but soon just ran fast after Branchwalker till they made it to the other of their own tribe.

What Morning-Glow recieved in reply from Claw was not the conscious, directed sort of sending one could expect from a talking elf with her eyes open. Instead there came an instinctive reply, as if from an elf deep asleep who was trapped in a nightmare. Claw sent sensations of being trapped, lost, of fear, but little of it made sense, just as if she was sleeping. Yet she looked Morning-Glow right in the eye as the sending was shared, even though her eyes were glazed, and she was smiling.

*Try to reach her mind... How deep can I dare to try?* The sensations he had received from Claw worried him. He could only imagine there being some type of magic involved. But what? And by whom? He thought little back and the one connecting factor in the whole mess popped in his mind. *The High One?* Morning-Glow kept on looking at the face of the proud huntress. *If this is the magic of a High One... How can be break it with our strength?* Claw's condition wasn't the only thing making him feel uneasiness rise. Evening-Fall had stopped sharing with him. And Waterfall hadn't reached out either. Something terribly amiss was going on. Beyond the reality of a leap before. ~**Evening-Fall?**~ In return he received the flood of thoughts and emotions rushing through his brother: *I have to keep them from following the youngsters and Hale. Parry that. But there are so many and they won't fall. Step in and turn of the arm. Finally a weapon. But I can't use it. Hit with handle. The side of the face is open. Is Hale and the young ones okay? Duck. Oh no! The wolf cubs are still not freed. Another thrust. Step there. Lean back.* His brother was fighting. But who? Not the survivors if he was looking after them. But someone he couldn't use the weapon on properly. He didn't want to disturb his brother and decided to reach out to Waterfall again, knowing that she didn't fight unless there was no choice. But he was interrupted by a sending that pierced through his heart. The plead of help from Cloudbird, the elfess suddenly more important than anything else. Morning-Glow was up on his feet in reflex to dash for assistance, but his mind remembered Claw. He looked back at the elfess, then towards where Cloudbird was, and back to Claw.
Then Silvereyes returned like fire burning her feet. She rushed directly into the tent with the wounded. Only a moment later returned Branchwalker. And after them familiar tribemates. For his experienced eyes he quickly noticed that the steps of his tribemates weren't of relaxed nature, or regular hurry, but those of predators after a prey. Any other time he would have called out but now he could not mistake the look in their eyes, the smirk on their lips. But unlike Claw, these elves were aggressive. It was also in thanks to the shared thoughts of Evening-Fall that he somehow understood the situation. These elves were also under some magic and attacking the wolf-bloods. Except that they were also attacking his brother.
Before the three CotO elves chasing Silvereyes and Branchwalker could reach near the tent, Morning-Glow stepped to block their way, with his daggers at ready in his hands. ~**I'm coming**~ He replied to Cloudbird. The charging elves didn't stop even for the blink of an eye to consider him but attacked full on. Unfortunately for them, they were greatly outmatched. In a swoop Morning-Glow had passed the line of the elves, wounding all of them in arms, not deathly, but enough to drop weapons. Although these elves didn't. They just laughed and turned to face him again. They didn't react to pain at all. *I see.* Morning-Glow adjusted his grip on the daggers and charged. He parred a spear, slided away the thrust of a sword and blocked the hit of a club. He duck under the wave of a spear and whirled to be at the back of the one with the club. His precise hit with the hilt of the dagger met the nape of neck of the elf, rendering him unconscious. The elfess with the sword charged again, but Morning-Glow found a way through to land a second blow that brought the female down to ground. The spear thrust at him, and he allowed his body to join the movement. In turning around he swung a dagger and the head of the spear fell on the ground. The attacker changed to trying to hit with the stick. Parry here, step there, block and sweep. Third unconscious elf on the ground.
While Morning-Glow was occupied with the three attackers, he had spotted Hale passing them.
The job done, Morning-Glow rushed towards the place of food tents. On the way he rendered unconscious more of his tribemates with a grin painted on their face. He took out one and all on his way, but there were some elves that moved among tents and he had missed to notice in his hurry.
OOC: Just to provide an explanation why some elves are still lurking around the wounded tent. M-G will move to the Watch for Wolves thread.

As the elves around here were busy fighting or fleeing for their lives, no one saw as the High One came and spirited Claw away. As she disappeared her smile faded into a look of horror. OOC: Locking this thread
